Where stories find their voice, music finds its rhythm, and ideas find their audience.
Rock Court Media is a small publishing imprint and audio producer, and part of Rock Court LLC. We work with authors, musicians and podcasters — and we work with relatively few of them at a time, on purpose. We would rather publish less and have it be good than fill a catalogue.
On the book side we publish fiction, with a particular interest in fantasy and science fiction, and we help with the parts most authors find hardest — editing, the mechanics of publishing, and getting a finished book in front of anyone at all. On the audio side we record and produce music, and we work with podcasters on getting a show made and out reliably rather than sporadically.
We are also our own first customer. Rock Court LLC builds StoriesDen, a writing studio that takes a book from first plan to the shelf, and this imprint uses it to produce its own fiction — currently Dawn of the Second Darkness. It is a useful discipline: software built by people who are not doing the work tends to be software that has never been properly tested.
If you have something you think fits, tell us about it. We read everything that comes in, and we say no to most of it — that is what makes a yes worth having.
